We recently visited Formby National Trust Nature reserve. At the reserve we saw many red squirrels which are attracted by the nuts fed by visitors to the reserve. It is really easy to get close to these usually shy mammals but we struggled with the light.
We recently visited the Red Kite feeding station at Grigin Farm. At the farm they feed the Kites every day and to watch these birds fly is a truly magnificent spectacle.
We also managed to see a “White Kite” which is a rare Leucistic type lacking the red and black colours or a normal kite. . […]
Meet Bomber an European Eagle Owl ….
I’ve entered a few more pictures today including a photo from earlier in the Summer of a buzzard on the Isle of Mull. The lighting was not the best as it was pouring with rain but after 20 mins I got this shot.
New to the gallery is a range of photos from an early June visit to the
Farne Islands in Northumberland and Bass Rock in Scotland. The weather was
not the best for the trip but some worthwhile images were still obtained
